Even by "stroads" as the YIMBYs would say, Kappock or Manhattan College Parkway are roundabout ways to get down from the high points.
A cable car from the 225th street 1/9 to the Bronx end of the pedestrian path on the Henry Hudson Bridge would be perfect.
