I am not really into cycling but I will get a bike for fun, transportation and groceries

I want something fun and kind of fast so, should i get a beach cruiser or a cheap road bike?,

It depends on terrain and weather too, if its hot and/or hilly i reccomend gears, if its cold and/or flat any single speed will do.
Any bike its fun to ride, price depends on your needs and a how much youre willing to spend, speed depends on how strong you are and the amount of gears.
I live in a fairly hilly city, but most of the places i have to go are on flat places like the centre, and here its hot too, my bike its a steel framed, single speed with pedal brakes and a rack, i didnt want to spend much on a beater so i build one.
