In September, Emil Carr-Ross became the first and only woman to finish the second edition of L’Esperit de Girona, the solo unsupported off-road bikepacking event held in Catalonia. She completed the 800km course in 8 days, 11 hours and 10 minutes. It was her first-ever ultra-distance event. Carr-Ross is also one of the few trans athletes competing in ultra-cycling.

Some single speed MTB race event keeps being reposted again, and again, and again, even though it's a "literally what".

I think the biggest bullshit thing is that cycling is seen as a competitive sport, and given the cheating that keeps happening in road cycling, it has a very fucked up perception.
But not everyone is going to compete, not everyone is going to set records, and there's very much a demographic out there consisting of cyclists who do it for fun and exercise.
But when people with TDS start screeching about trannies, there's no actual interest in making cycling a better activity, it's just to achieve some other agenda.
Like Lance Armstrong, a man who is the 0 time winner of the Tour de France claiming that trannies "threaten the reputation of cycling". Really?
Where the fuck did enjoying cycling and the wondrous invention of the bicycle gone?
