Hey all friends. I was recently watching Apollo 13, fascinating movie, never seen it before. But I had so many questions from it. I heard that the movie stayed very close and true to the actual issue so I'm basically going to treat everything in it as factual unless I see a valid reason otherwise.

How did the Astronauts miss the issue with the O2 tanks? Like I know pilots before they fly do a walkthrough of everything and check vital components and stuff, don't the Astronauts like walk through the shuttle and make sure everything looks good before the launch? Also when they started getting all these alarms about "Main Bus B undervolt" and "Cryo" and "Main Bus A" like why were they just telling Houston? They're on the ground Kek! They can't fix it from there. Shouldn't the astronauts have gone in and tried to fix the circuits or whatever it was? Or if they knew O2 was leaking why didn't they try to patch it like they did in the International Space Station when they found that leak?
