The Trump campaign’s legal team moved to distance itself Sunday from the firebrand conservative attorney after a tumultuous several days in which Powell made multiple incorrect statements about the voting process, unspooled unsupported and complex conspiracy theories and vowed to “blow up” Georgia with a “biblical” lawsuit.

“Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own. She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity,” Giuliani and another lawyer for Trump, Jenna Ellis, said in a statement.

Which is completely retarded to try and argue, if thats actually what you're saying. The case was only dropped after she became Flynn's legal counsel and was arguing for the case to be dropped. But I'm sure it's entirely likely that, at the same time Powell was arguing in court that the case should be dropped, Barr dropped the case for the same reasons outlined by and argued by Powell in court. It was just a henckin coincidencerino!

He was publicly pressuring them since the case started, and nothing happened. It went on for years until Powell signed on as Flynn's defense and told him to change his plea. Within a few months of that, the case was dropped, for the same reasons Powell was arguing in court.

You cannot argue that Powell had nothing to do with it and still claim to not be arguing in bad faith.

He was head of the DOJ since February 2019, the case wasn't dropped until May of 2020. A whole year to drop the case under pressure from Trump, yet it doesn't happen until after Flynn withdrew his original plea in January. More bad-faith deflections, semantics will get you nowhere.

I guess then it's a good thing that neither that argument, nor those sticky notes played any part in why the DOJ motioned to withdraw charges and why the federal appeals court ruled the case should be dropped. Again, if the alteration of the evidence was the reason why the DOJ withdrew charges and the case was ordered dropped, then you would think somebody would actually make that argument instead of again, making the main issue the fact that it was used against Biden in the debate.

Even the judge delaying the case being dropped admitted he didn't know about the sticky notes until after he called for amicus curiae in order to delay the write of mandamus.

You're now aware that it's perfectly legal to change one's plea from guilty to not guilty. It was argued at length that Flynn was receiving bad counsel who wanted him to take the plea because they didn't think they could prove what Powell proved in court that led to the appeals court ordering that the case be dropped. The audacity to bring up cognitive dissonance when there's a judge attempting to delay a write of mandamus from a higher court by accepting amicus curiae to delay having to comply with the order continues to be absolutely astounding.
