how are they going to get anyone to teach these classes? I don't remember the exact stat, but black/hispanic teachers quit teaching within 3 years at a significantly higher rate than white teachers specifically because black schools recruit them and black and hispanic kids act like fucking assholes in these schools

Technically, how would segregation ever shrink the so-called learning gap? Maybe if the blacks and latinos got better teachers than whites? But then white parents would likely just pull their kids out. Hmm. Maybe what we're seeing is a way to push for more private schooling. In which case, the learning gap would only be accelerated. Nigerians are the highest educated immigrant group in America. 60% of them hold at least bachelor's degrees. The national average for all of America is like 37%. Clearly, there is nothing inherent in black people that prevents them from attaining higher education. If black people in other parts of the world are functioning fine in school and even surpassing us in degree attainment with the right resources then the issue must be with American, not with being black. It just logically follows.
