This spring, a new breakfast and lunch spot is opening on Wells Avenue.
Signage is up for Crak N' Grill, 301 S. Wells Ave., in the former home of Juicy's Giant Hamburgers.
According to an online listing for the new business, Crak N' Grill will offer breakfast burritos and bowls, burgers, homemade soups and its signature "Roast Crak Coffee," with a tentative opening date of March 1.
The phone number on the restaurant's signage wasn't yet active so the RGJ could not confirm additional details.
Juicy's Giant Hamburgers shuttered in June 2023 after the restaurant lost its lease, owner Ed Lewis told the RGJ at the time. Lewis said he was looking for a new second location, but to date Juicy's hasn't opened a second spot.
The Juicy's at 3981 S. McCarran Blvd. remains open.
Juicy’s first opened in 1982 in South Lake Tahoe when Lewis, a homebuilder, and a partner wanted something to do during the winter months, according to the restaurant's origin story.
