Police officers from the Lagos State Police Command arrested a Moroccan woman, Asmaa, 21, on Saturday, March 30th, for allegedly breaking into the house of her Chinese boyfriend, Shunxue, 41, in Oregun, Ikeja State. did. A fire had broken out.
A fire was discovered in a nearby building and the police were called. According to preliminary investigations, Asmar and Shunxue got into an argument and in a fit of rage, she allegedly set the house on fire while her boyfriend and two others were still inside.
During her interrogation, Asmar said Shunshwe took her to Nigeria and held her captive in her home for six months. She explained that he just wanted to sleep with her and that he didn't want her to work. ``He used me for six months and he doesn't want to apply for a visa for me.'' He doesn't want me to work or make money. He just wants me to sit at home. If I asked him to buy a ticket, he would say no. He wants me to stay home and free from sex for 6 months. Just sit at home and wait for him to come back from work,” said a disappointed Asma.
He said Asmar was frustrated by Shunxue's actions and wanted to commit suicide, so he set the house on fire.
Fortunately, no lives were lost in this incident. The suspect is currently in police custody along with other persons involved in the incident.
