The WHO has sent a team of 25 international experts, including the Robert Koch Institute in Berlin, to China to investigate the situation there. Here is the final report of the commission as PDF after the visit to Beijing, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Chengdu as well as the press conference of the team leader on Youtube . Here are some interesting facts that I haven't read in the media:

When a cluster of multiple infections occurs, this is most often (78-85%) caused by infection within the family by droplets and other carriers of infection in close contact with an infected person. The transmission by fine aerosols in the air over longer distances is not one of the main causes of the spread. Most of the 2,055 infected hospital staff were either infected at home or in the early stages of the Wuhan outbreak when protective measures in hospitals had not yet started.

The most common symptoms are fever (88%) and dry cough (68%). Fatigue (38%), expectoration of phlegm when coughing (33%), shortness of breath (18%), sore throat (14%), headache (14%), muscle pain (14%), chills (11%) , Nausea and vomiting (5%), nasal congestion (5%) and diarrhea (4%) are less common. An investigation of 44,672 diagnosed people in China showed a mortality rate of 3.4%. Mortality is strongly influenced by age, previous illnesses, gender, and the presence of hospital beds:

The mortality rate in those infected with existing cardiovascular disease was 13.2%. There are no reports of cases where an infected child has infected an adult. 1.2% of those infected were 10-19 years old and one person died, 0.1%. At the age of 20-29 years, 8.1% were infected and 0.7% of them died. Between the ages of 30 and 39, 17% were infected and 0.2% died. Between the ages of 40 and 49, 19.2% of the infected and 0.4% of them died. Aged 50-59 were 22.4% of those infected and 1.3% of them died. Between the ages of 60 and 69, 19.2% of the infected and 3.6% of them died. At the age of 70-79, 8.8% of the infected and 8% of them died.
