go on craigslist. guaranteed some city slicker bought an oversized telescope and wants to sell it on account of the fact he used it all of one time. you can usually pick one up for 30% ish percent off of retail price. got this one for like 300 dollars from some dude in Chicago. it came with an eyepeice kit so all together it would have cost me almost 900 dollars retail, as they still sell the exact same model and kit online.
