Granted, it was a size 6 hook as I was carp fishing and I definitely should have loosened up the drag a bit, but nonetheless I don't scrimp on hooks anymore. I'm not completely sure what it was, but I think it was a fuckhuge blue cat that picked it up as the lake I fish has a very good population of them.
Generally they don't go after tutti fruity boilies (though channel cats do), but it definitely didn't fight like a carp. Like it was pulling hella drag on the Daiwa Sealine spooled with braid that I was using so it must have been a pretty good size.
