>>2284051For hunting/trapping, I have deer, pigs, audad/barbary sheep, turkey, and squirrels. I used to have some porcupine bros who would come up and eat corn out of my hands, they were super chill and one had blue eyes. Some bastard trespassed on my land, dumped beer cans and cigarette butts everywhere, and shot all my porcupines; I haven't seen any in almost a decade. Used to have armadillos all the time, but yankees keep killing them because they're scared of leprosy and don't understand how it fucking works, so they're few and far between now. There's a female fox that lived under my porch before I moved the cabin and added the expansion; dunno where she lives now, but I still see her on my trail cams all the time, and she eats any leftovers I toss out for her. There's also an old tabbie cat somebody abandoned that took to living nearby; he won't let me near him, but he likes to sit at a distance and watch while I work. There's a pair of crows that moved into the valley; once they figured out hunters will leave guts and whatever else they don't want, the crows now tattle on the deer and pigs during hunting season. They'll start flying overhead, following the animals, and caw to alert you to their location. It's pretty fucking cool how they learned how to exploit that. Crows are bros. Only snakes I've ever seen are garter snakes.
All in all, 15 years of hard work, dedication, and most of my income. But it's paying off. Pic: me and an audad I took with my 100 year old Sauer and Sohn drilling (12-gauge over 8mm). He weighed 320lb AFTER I gutted him.
