I spent the first night in this washout cut on the side of the 3 mile forest service road heading into near where camped. A lot of it was uphill, and pushing all that bike load wore me slap out at about mile 2.25, so I crashed at pic related. This was next morning, and I soon after completed the journey, found a camp spot (about 1/2 mile in from the end of the service road, down part of Benton MacKaye, then maybe 75 yards off that) and started the ordeal of carrying all my shit in in 5 loads.
>>1614380We divorced 5 years ago, but agreed to keep the family unit together until our son started college. The year before divorce actually happened, was told it was coming, I developed this plan, gathered up all my gear working for her father, then when we actually divorced I quit working for that asshole and camped in the back yard up until now (son went off to UGA in Aug but I did things around the house for ex getting her ready for life without me being here to fix everything).
It was an amicable split, no one was "caught" doing anything wrong or such, just very different ways of being (she changed majorly after childbirth, but we traveled the US living in my van and tent during 98/99, and at Yellowstone, and San Juan Island). She's been a jewel of a human to go through divorce with, relatively, as far as that kind of thing goes. I still have the house key and am there now using our son's desktop to edit some video while she is at work. She can certainly be a cunt from time to time though, don't get me wrong!
>>1615009Somewhat, I am still open to relations with women, to varying degrees depending. I just recently broke with a girlfriend, in fact.
