Still got a lotta electrical and plumbing work to do, and need to gut and rebuild the interior of the old half of the cabin; the ceiling is collapsing in the bedroom, making the top bunk unusable. It's gonna be completely remodeled when I'm done.
A Mormon family had their dr put them on dietary restrictions, so I got a shitload of 5 gallon buckets of freeze dried food off of them. Whole wheat, flour, salt, corn, potatoes, milk, cheese, carrots, beef, all kinds of shit. Roughly three years worth of food for myself, if I don't mind it being monotonous. That doesn't include the preserves (this year I got a small batch of persimmon jam and just finished making a batch of agarita jelly, both from my land), pickled vegetables, freeze dried meal-in-a-jars that I make, or any canned food, MRE's, etc. I have stocked. Between the food supply, the garden, and what I can hunt/forage, I'm pretty well set. Once I'm ready to move there full time, all I need cash for is stuff I can't make, like sugar, coffee, ammunition, etc. Eventually I'd like to get a reloading press and supplies, especially for the 8x58r Sauer that the drilling shoots since I can't exactly find that at Academy.
