But otherwise these mental things happen, I had it in the past that my mind played tricks on me. for example, during a biovac next to a raging glacial meltwater river my sleeping brain would trigger "YO YOU HEAR RUSHING WATER FLOOD ALARM!! WAKE UP NOW!!!"
a different occasion was car camping on a high pass with a steep road where i would wake up scared by fear of irrational brake failure (i had block under the wheels too...)
or phantom drift alarms during sailing while weathering a storm in a cove.
