>>2311033They could be & jump from anywhere, but most American highways have a median that is either cleared, asphalt, or a very small strip of woods. It’s harder for them to be there because they would have to get to that spot by crossing the highway, versus the right side where they can access from anywhere by just walking right to the edge. I’ve driven a ton at night & only once seen them in the middle area on the left, every other time I see them it’s on the right side of the road.
