As for the apps I can't really rely on it since they only focus on popular spots and tourist traps (like the salmon hole in winooski) and I hardly get any cell service outside of my county.
This specific place I plan on going to is infamous for killing some teenagers a few years ago due to the high current and choppy waters so no one swims there. I'm thinking I could probably get away with catching something, but I've never had any experience with this kind of fishing outside of dams and weirs, and I don't want to find some video of an angler with a complete different situation tell me what to do.
Picrel is one of the two brown trout I caught that morning, are these kind of fish expected in deep, high current conditions? And could I find steelheads and salmon there or do I need to reconsider this upcoming trip?
