Right after releasing his major hit album "Eat 'em and Smile" he went backpacking around the highland jungles of New Guinea for either one or two months. He's hiked around the Himalayas and Amazon, and even kayaked around Manhattan.
He's MENSA level intelligent too. In recent years he became an EMT just so he could experience that side of the people he helped's lives. By then he was bald and no longer nearly as recognizable, but one person knew. He was on an OD call to Ozzfest, and when the fellow woke up in the ambulance with DLR leaning over him smiling, he thought he'd died and gone to rock and roll heaven!
