The only reason people can say you shouldnt be afraid of bears in north america is because they were nearly hunted to extinction and the only ones left alive fled at the sight of a human, doing anything other than standing your ground and killing anything that might attack you is not only a disappointment to the human race, but asking for that bear to stay alive long enough to catch some poor fucker than runs away.
