>>1734151Meant to imply heads and fletching. Mentioned heads directly, in the second part there. Not sure how a novice is going to turn, say, a burnt out car into working screw-in points. But over shaft heads for wood, bamboo arrows?
I shoot a 50lb horsebow, so spine tuning isn't as important to me. Mixing doesn't matter below 20 yards, where most shots in a forest take place at 15.
But I can tell you all about a 34" draw length.
I think you're also assuming a road warrior mindset. The world isn't going to open up post-collapse. If anything, you're best off finding a good place a days walk from the nearest village, or moving into the village pre-boog. Unless you've already got land to farm, cultivating a trade is going to be more important than literally trading. Smithing, woodworking, weaving, and pottery were the universals before industrialization, will be the universal needs after. Hence, arrows (parts).
>FungibleWell, it's a good thing we're not replacing currency. But food for thought, the petrodollar is backed by military force. Who has more force than someone willing to trade precious ammo?
