It's freaky as allfuck though because sometimes they take a lot of pulling, so your skin is stretching-out like 2" and you think it's gonna tear off but the little fugger won't let go and then suddenly "POP" he lets go and everything goes back to normal. Contrary to popular belief it's not a big deal if his head or jaws are still in the wound. Generally you'll bleed a little and it'll itch like a skeeter bite (sometimes for days or weeks, months in one case I had) but the tick parts will work their way out of the skin as you heal, like any other splinter or something would. Just wash it and you're good to go.
