Seriously, you said it your self, they are simple carbon steel, literally the easiest thing in the world to sharpen. Buy a cheap stone and with less than half an hour of practice you will have a significantly sharper edge than that. That pull through isn’t actually “sharpening” your knife, at this point it’s turning the edge into a washboard.
