I used to be one of the leaders for a college hiking club so I saw retards almost kill themselves hundreds of times. Here is the time I almost killed myself.
>helping lead a freshman hike in the white mountains
>basically a two week orientation that people can chose to do
>about 20 hikers
>3/4 of who have never been outside the big city before.
>super slow hike and I spent most of it teaching the 4 kids that cared about wild edibles.
>Get to a narrow section of the trail
>cliff is a good 40 foot drop
>girl in front of me turns around to say something
>pack side off the cliff and she loses her balance and starts to fall off
>adrenaline pumping I throw her towards the cliff wall but in doing so makes me lose my balance
> I was carrying 60 pounds of everyone's gear so I fell of the cliff like a rock
>Hit a tree almost immediately and start spinning wildly
>hit more tree limbs before landing
> Fell for what felt like hours but it was just a few seconds
>Whole body hurt and I threw up
>ribs didnt feel good
>didn't move a muscle in fear I would puncture a lung
>I just laid there thinking I was going to die for a long time
>I had actually fallen pretty much next to another trail
>paramedics got there surprisingly quickly
>put me an a board and carried me out
>two broken ribs, broken leg, dislocated my shoulder and got a concussion.
>pack pretty much acted like a big cushion
>stuck in the hospital for the start of my senior year of college
Got to pose with the paramedics and rangers that carried me out though, bet my picture is in some ranger station somewhere.
