Where are some good places to go with a metal detector where I won't be waylaid by too many bystanders?
I live near to the Florida coast so while the beach is definitely a viable spot, there's gonna be a fuckton of people and I'm enough of an asocial autist that I really don't feel like being gawked at and asked if I've found anything.
Basically looking for a sweet spot of decently travelled but not overly populated.

what are the most durable hiking shoes? you're not supposed to wear shoes for over a year or two depending on how you use them, but i wear sambas five years at a time and don't give a shit. my feet are fine. what is the adidas samba equivalent of a hiking/trail shoe (sambas are regularly voted as most durable sneaker, but they're flat and suck in the woods)

honestly I'd check any outdoor retailer's clearance or sale items until you find a discounted bag that fits what you are looking for. A mummy bag is going to be warmer but not as comfy because it will restrict movement. A regular rectangular bag is probably what you are used to. And finally a quilt is the new thing but it's not going to be quite as warm I suppose. Really most reputable outdoor manufacturers make good quality bags. As long as you dont abuse it it'll last you a decade. My Sea to Summit bag is still holding up good.
