That was exactly my point.
Your point is completely stupid because industrial hemp is NOT illegal and still barely anyone uses it.
It simply makes no fucking economic sense for example for clothing fibres when you have shit like cotton that you pretty much just plant and let it grow and it thrives in relatively shit conditions.
Meanwhile hemp is stupidly picky about climate and humidity conditions. (if you ever knew anyone who planted weed, you know it's true)
And let's not even compare it to synthetics that you can just produce at will in (practically) unlimited quantities.
If you stop getting high and let your brain settle down, you might come up with enough brain power to easily find a bunch of profit analysis studies of actual hemp farms and see that while you get profit, it's not a very lucrative business and if you increased production even more, prices would fall.
