I had a tip up with a jig head and minnow on it, as well as a minnow on a dropper loop 18 inches up from the jig head. I ran a similar rogue on a light rod with 4 pound mono and wax works. I was in 7-10 feet of water just kinda drilling holes. Fishing a foot off the bottom for a few minutes, then two feet, and so on. Repeat once more, walk 15 or so feet down the line, and repeat, because I dont have a flasher. After 30ish holes I decided to have some soup and run the errands I had for the day.
