I gotta have meat, but yeah I give them a good life. When the laying stop laying I'll try them in a slow cooker or for soup meat, or feed them to my dogs. I hate to see any waste. I think everybody should have a few chickens in the back yard.
I also hunt for meat. Usually send a few wild ducks to the freezer, maybe a partridge or two. Looking to bag my first deer this year too
Pic related, what I woke up to this morning. Deep freeze and blowing snow all night. Drifter nearly 2 feet in some places, so i got a few hours of plowing to do today after chores, then laying some tile in my mudroom this afternoon. Never laid ceramic before but I should be able to figure it out.
