I'm lucky to live in an area that's near a number of beautiful and deep wilderness/natl park/natl forest areas; I've put in at least 700 miles so far. These days, if I can spare the time, I go on 1-2 night trips over weekends in the summer - it's been a few years since I've been able to go on a longer trip, unfortunately (and this summer's not looking any better).
Personally, I like to camp/backpack in and around the mountains, to get away from people and take in the natural beauty of the landscape I don't often get living in the city. Lately, I've really enjoyed taking photos with my phone - something I didn't really care about until relatively recently. Being able to look back at the sights and imagine the spot I was in so easily is something I really underutilized in my earlier years, but I'm glad I can do it now. Here's a photo from one of my favorite trips from a few years ago.
