Rockfish love squid strips, just did a baja coast rockfish trip last weekend and all of these rockfish left the live sardine on one of my dropper loops and all opted for the 2" squid strips. If you're going for dabs try to stay a little bit away from structure and stick to the mud/sand flats.

Did a 1.5 day baja coast trip to Colonet. No yellows for me this time, but did really well on the rockfish. Decent grade of reds, two starry, a tiger and two boccacio with a bonus bonito. Old dudes were throwing their bonito back, but it is probably the best poke fish that exists if you handle it right.
