>>1287055Its a Rasheed, one of very few domestic Egyptian designs. It's a scaled down version of the Hakim, which is basically an Egyptian contract Ljungman rifle. It's from the mid 50s, same as the SKS, but other than its age, bayonet, and ammo it hasn't got anything in common with the SKS.
Some features it has that set it apart from the SKS are an adjustable gas system, a removable magazine, and a really unique triangular bolt carrier.
Only about 8,000 produced before Egypt switched to the AK47, and only about 2,500 of those made it to the United States.
