>>2285186Coop is 8x12 with a small 8x12 run. We free range them for the most part though, only really use the run in the winter months. Were going to hatch another batch of laying hens this spring to double the flock. As it is right now I'm selling most of the eggs they lay while saving some for ourselves, which more than pays for their feed. The demand for free range eggs has surpassed what I was expecting and I have a few steady customers just from word of mouth. Duck eggs are big seller too
Still brainstorming ideas for a duck shelter. Maybe repurpose a portable garage frame and beef it up a little. Definitely something with a dirt floor, ducks are messy as all hell
