My brother and I had no toys and lived on a isolated cattle property - so no friends either until later in life. We'd either commit toad genocide or find a freshly dead mouse and dub it "commander mouse" and play with it like an action figure outside for the day before burying it.
Had no TV or computer and were too young to do much outside - so had to make our own fun.
