Most of those historians are Christian themselves. The evidence for his existence is based on the appearance of "Jesus" a common name in texts we only have translated through Christian sources (no original texts). There are no original, primary source documents that haven't passed through Christian hands at some point independently attesting to Jesus Christ and the name Jesus was very common in antiquity. Given the control and power Christians have over many Western societies (and non-Western societies), it makes sense they would fraudulently claim that he was definitely real because questioning that mythos questions their social power in society.
