Suggestions on head gear while hiking in direct sun and high heat. My head gets super hot while hiking in direct sun/ high heat. I have really thick hair and I found that wearing something like a shemagh scarf has helped but I'm curios about recommendations. I feel like the shemagh might be a little stifling for breath ability but it does feel somewhat breathable.

I think the shemagh is good at protecting my head neck, and my face somewhat while hiking the AZ mountains, still perhaps something out there a little more breathable and better for protection. Hit me with those recommendations please!

(I hike places like South mountain, Camel back etc in AZ, so most of the time direct sun, and extreme heat)
