>>1592220That radio is based. There was barely any cell phone service after Irma, let alone data. I had to go on my roof to send texts and they would go through an hour later. That cunt runs for days off a couple AA batteries.
>>1592224Pretty much. I had a stack of important papers and a sawzall with a couple charged up batteries right next to me just in case I had to bail through the roof to escape a bad storm surge.
>>1592254I was looking at that radar as the well defined eye cruises over the islands just thinking about how cool it must be to go outside at night and look at the stars at that moment.
This storm is moving slow as balls. Most storms will hit a place with the worst winds and rain maybe 6hrs, but the Bahamas have been getting raped all day. And the wind here had been slowly picking up all day, it’s super nice outside with a steady 15mph wind. The clouds are neat to watch cruise past as well. The Carolinas might get fukt by that surge, and I’m still waiting for it to make that right hand turn because my area could still get it real bad if the storm decided to wait a couple more hours before heading north.
