The 110 is strong because you can find hundreds of them still around after 60+ years of abuse, no tightening, tinkering, or lubricating required. The SR1 looks fine for a flipper, but is not as strong as the 110 because it has parts that will loosen, fall out, and be lost if the knife is not maintained.
Other lockbacks that I have that are great include the Buck 112, Queen MountainMan, Case Tribal Lock, Case CopperLock, Kabar Dozier, GEC 42/72. Flippers that I own that are great include a couple Spidercos, Benchmades, Mcusta, Kershaws, etc.. They are fine for edc, but I wouldn't take one over the 110 if it were a desert island scenario, because you'd need a set of Torx bits to keep them together in the long run, whereas the Buck would just need to be kept clean.
