I have a thermal camera that I find to be lots of fun, although I just have fun with it and use it for spotting skinwalkers and alliums, rather than use it for killing things.
problem is, I used to live in rural New England where this would have been super useful for all my various activities there (lots of coyotes, bears, occasional mountin' lions, and when urbexing you're always on the lookout for cops and crazies). now I live in Australia and there's literally nothing to look at with a thermal camera, every predator here is cold blooded
