If you care about external attachments, buy a Savotta or anything with an MOLLE system. If you want something waterproof then just put a rain cover on your bag. If you want something REALLY waterproof then keep all your gear in dry bags inside a normal bag. If you care about carrying a lot then use an external frame.
Why would you buy a 72 hour pack for several hundred dollars anyway? All of those items are either cheap disposable items such as waterproof matches or they're sub par tools such as paracord or a reflective blanket. Personally, I just wouldn't give my money to a shitty survival company for the same reason I wouldn't buy a rifle from a company that produces weapons "for the zombie apocalypse" because it's all going to be budget tier crap.
