I am planning to leave late April. I have always wanted to, and recently realized that I will soon be in a position to. I am an avid hiker/outdoor enthusiast and have just finished 9 years in the military. I am physically and mentally fit, and money isn't an issue, though I tend towards discount and second-hand gear, and try to be cheap.

If all goes as planned, I will be arriving in Canada around this time a year from now. My only concern is the Royal Canadian Moose Patrol throwing me in vaccine jail for not being vaccinated, or not being able to fly back to SoCal because the I'm not genetically modified. However, I'm sure they'll realize that the worlds greatest human experiment was a fuck up by then.

This will be my first through-hike. Is anyone else planning something similar?
