solo park trips

i really like the outdoors and I want to visit these amazing places, but I have no friends interested or anyone that wants to go with me.

Is it normal for someone to visit national parks alone? any advice for someone like me who is apprehensive about visiting these parks by myself? thanks for your time.

I live in Southern texas, another place I was wanting to visit was Devil's river which is much less popular and more secluded. I'm not particularly lonely, but I think the trip would be much more enjoyable with a companion.

I don't think it is a good idea to go solo, but I don't really have a choice, and I'd rather go than not just because I don't have anyone to go with. You're acting like a dick head just because I don't have someone to go with.

I get you. Check out All Trails and I guarantee you can link up with someone else in similar boat. Sucks to say but the few friends I made as an adult, I made from buying or selling stuff on OfferUp.
This is an AllTrails comment section from a trail I want to do. I blocked the guys #, but it's posted right there to join up.

I can imagine there are hiking clubs n stuff.

OOOOOh earlier today I did talk to a fellow from Illinois, and met up with his friends from Cali and the Philippines.

Not disclosing on the internet. This is surprising from even a young Texan. Carry if you feel the need. Can't call 911 when you don't have reception. Don't worry about 4 legged critters. Every area different but 99.9% of people going to national parks are happy healthy and super excited to be there and welcoming. Even if they don't greet/ say hi good morning on the trail.
