Does Decathlon have quality stuff for the price? Or should I look to amazon de?
By self-sufficiency I mean, shelter (tent), cooking equipment (not gas, wood as fuel)

Decathlon is pretty decent for the price, simple as.
Their own products do the trick and there's plenty of offer but it kinda sucks they aren't more like REI and have a large premium gear display, you barely find any name brands there.

I have some pants from them.
I like them. Good zippers, many pockets.

The products on sale are sometimes crazy cheap.
What i don't like is they change collections pretty fast. I bought a pair of pants, which i love. Wanted to have another pair in a different color a year later. Out of stock.

The Quechua NH500 Pants are my go to /out pants. Nothing fancy but nice pockets and good stitching. Socks and merino gear is nice as well and their hunting hunting brands aren't bad either.

I used to go to Globetrotter as well but they have removed a lot of the actually good gear and now sell mainly overpried Arcterix, Patagonia, Fjällraven and Ortlieb shit to hispters. Still good for those 18-in-1 soaps, gas cartridges and esbit .
Those dutch "Action" markets have some good items in their camping section, but again amongst 80% cheap and useless garbage that smells like cancer.

I have a winter quechua jacket from them, good enough and still hold heat under -10°C.
The inside part and the hood can be taken out, so you can use it as a spring jacket as well. Many pockets 1 outside dorsal 2 inside , and 2 pockets for hands that have a polar inside.
