I've never found anything good. what i have is how this sort of thing warps people's perception of what my hobbies are. when i say im into mushroom hunting they immediately think im talking about psychedelics. when i invite them to go mtn biking with me they are scared because they think its way more dangerous than it is. when i bring them hiking with me the expect to see some breathtaking veiw or have a spirtual experience and i cant convince them that just walking in the woods is good for your soul. the sensationalization of everything is preventing newcomers from enjoying nature. either thier expectations are to high or they have been frightened to much to even try.

I swear that researching how things work in my country and Europe is sending me into the darkest depression in years. Everything's so heavily regulated and the areas are few and far between. You can't do this, you can't do that. You have to drive all the way to a specific place and pay for the camping area therein. It's basically a rich people thing to go walk in the woods. I don't have money to drive long distances semi-regularly. I probably don't have money to pay for all the services I'd have to pay for. And then I'd just pay to stay in a shitty hostel, that's basically what it is. I've been in those large camping areas they're fucking terrible. It's not nature it's some kind of shitty neighborhood. How is it possible that you aren't free to go in the fucking woods and put a tent on the ground? How is it possible that you must absolutely go to some expensive touristy place to visit a forest?
I'm reading around and people talk about fines whenever they go off the rails. Jesus Christ it can't be this cucked, oh my God I hate Europe.

I only learned earlier this year other Euros were ultra-giga megacucked when it comes to camping.
In Norway you can camp wherever you want in the forest, private or public land as long as you clean up after yourself and stay 500 feet away from people's house/cabin etc.

People not being 'allowed' to camp just sounds absurd to me, how would you ever enforce that when i'm deep in the woods? What officer would walk the same trail I take for 5 hours each way just to tell me to pack it up?

I personally don't have many disagreements with his writing, but I truly hate the people who treat his work as some incredible insight. Some people treat Aldo Leopold as some sort of messiah because he tells people not to be destructive ignorant sociopaths. I feel that anybody who views his work as vital, significant, or revolutionary is simply projecting, and academics who hold his work as the foundation of their dogma always restrict actual environmentalist/conservationist efforts. Works of people like Leopold have irreversibly begotten an indestructible pseudointellectual cancer, and I feel obligated to fight it.

I have been to 1 concert in my life (TOOL)

I loved their music but concerts were amongst the worst experiences of my life. My ears hurt, the music was wayyyyy too loud. There were people that were standing up the whole show and had their hands in the air like they were engaging in worship at a Baptist or Assembly of God Church. The drummer Danny Kerry wore a jersey of the local sports team, which was bullshit because you just know he does that every city they go to. Maynard seemed like he was going through the motions. I don't know. I don't get the allure. I enjoy music much more when I'm driving or sitting at home and can adjust the volume or pause it to pee. I was just kind of waiting for it to be over the whole time. I don't understand how people can sit there and cheer or sing along for days on end for stuff like Lollapalooza or Glastonbury

Tool's live performance is underwhelming (spot-on about MJK just going through the motions on stage) so I can see why you'd be turned off from concerts if that was your first and only show. I saw them play at Albany's hockey arena maybe 15 years ago and was bored out of my mind.
I would suggest going to a smaller club show and bringing some good earplugs along because the decibel levels are even higher in smaller venues.

I'm not sure you realize this, but the Sierra Club never "sold out". They were made by the jew dollar from the very beginning to serve capital interests under a thin veil of environmentalism. A lot of their work in the past is just NIMBY-tier tantrum-throwing with no larger environmentalist cause. They put less thought into their ideas than vegans do (no offense to the ideas behind veganism, but you get my point). Additionally, John Muir in general is much worse of a problem than Leopold.
If you hear any "conservationist" or whatever who brings up the Sierra Club in a positive light, you can immediately dismiss them as a subversive parasite who should be removed.

N by E by Kent Rockwell is super /out/ and very well done - I personally love his style, but I’ve heard it described as very eastern. His artwork is also great. I highly recommend anons check out his illustrations for Moby Dick as well.

I don't believe it's a conspiracy, it's just how the media industry works and why it exists.
