>My hot weather is hotter than your hot weather>My dad can beat up your dadWhat kind of retard thinks temperature isn't subjective depending on one's ethnicity and acclimatization, as well as other factors like humidity and wind.
>>2459413My guy, 80F is definitely hot for non-negroids. Your advice is very sound. I am from a rainy freezing cold Nordic area, but currently living in a 100F autumn in the Mediterranean. I had grown up on the "cotton kills" meme as well, yet I am currently wearing all light greys, beiges, tans in cotton, linen and flax in ultra-mega-loose cut.
I do wear leather boots though, but that's for the a e s t h e t i c s.
>>2459406Look at Berbers and other relatively pale ethnic groups living in sun-scorched places. They wear long sleeved baggy robes, and place significant amounts of textiles between them and the sun. I've adopted the use of a simple large piece of thin linen which can shield my skin from the sun. It's a cloak/scarf/headcover/whatever depending on what I need.
>How much water/weight/etc?Depends on your specific combination of the factors listed above. I go through almost a gallon and a half of water on summer days spent in the shade down here, which is easily twice or even thrice the consumption I have in my natural environment.
