How doable is it to live in a cottage in the middle of nowhere? What are the best and cheapest options in Europe? It's just an idea but I am thinking of gathering money over my life time to buy some cheap cottage, maybe somewhere in the alps, and going off grid as much as I can. As long as it's not shtf it would probably be good to also have internet connection maybe to work from home so as to have some income or general practical stuff to have some connection to the society. What are the things I should consider?
