If I'm in my hometown I get the same anxiety like I'm a teenager again, walking to or from school, feeling embarrassed for no fucking reason. When I moved 35 minutes away, yeah I sorta feel like a schmuck walking on the sidewalk, doin my thang, but I don't have the embarrassing feeling, hard to explain. And when I was in Sonoma California for a year, every day felt like vacation, I'd walk to get tacos, walk to get a haircut, walk just for the hell of it, even biked around that town, not a care in the world.
And this crossed my mind today, seeing a middle aged guy walking on sidewalk, who clearly stood out as a normie. Not a bum, not out jogging, not up to no good.....
Idk man just go jog, how dumb that we get this sensation from walking in public.
