Is it possible to live anywhere for free and be unbothered? You hear about "cabins in the woods" but that has to be someone else's land right? And there must be so many permits and stuff you need to create a log cabin these days.

I'm sick of paying rent, I'll never be able to buy a house, I just want a place I can live in, read, go on 4chan etc. I'm older. Any place in the world that is "safe"? Even the homeless dudes here still look like they have to be put into the system (also I would like to own things and not be robbed.)
