we would explore further and further away as we got older; eventually finding old abandoned cars on a logging road, old farm equipment and climbing the old silo from a farm that burned down in the 1800s. old snowmobile trails, etc.
this bullshit continued across town when I started hanging out with my friend in his woods. we would explore all the way down to the train tracks, under the train bridge, exploring the old dam and a brick mill that is almost 200 years old. that side of town is more urbex than forest exploration and it's an absolute wonder nothing ever happened to us.
over the years we came across homeless dudes doing drugs in the woods, lots of atv riders, people hunting illegally/out of season, lots of forts and shelters, homeless camps in some old train wreckage, etc etc. a guy comitted suicide by lying on the tracks during this time and the cops arrested a pedofile hiding out near the train bridge.
and yet, nothing happened to us at all.
