If climate change is increasing rainfall and humidity but the rocky mountains are creating a rain shadow in the Midwest, then why don't we just trim them a little? Like the mountaintop mining in Appalachia just on a larger scale.
Rain will be able to go to the middle of the USA and we'll have more farmland, no need to rely on irrigation, etc.
