>>2675831I put together my own. The first two listed below are sauce mixes that work well with tuna or chicken. Knorr is ok, but not my favorite. Bear Creek cheddar and broccoli soup is pretty good, especially in cold weather; add extra cheddar and tuna (sounds odd but it pairs surprisingly well). Skurka’s beans and rice is still at the top though.
A few recipes I’ve compiled. Some are copy-pastas from other places but are good as is)
Cream-of-Whatever Sauce and Soup Mix
2 cups Nido
1 cup cornstarch
3 tablespoons bouillon powder (chicken, beef or vegetable)
3 tablespoons dried minced onions (or 2 tablespoons onion powder)
2 teaspoons parsley flakes
2 teaspoons dried thyme
2 teaspoons dried basil
1 ½ teaspoons black pepper
1/3 cup of mixture to 1.25 cups boiling water and 1 cup of rice
Alfredo sauce mix
2 cups Nido powder
½ cup cornstarch
¼ cup dried minced onion or onion flakes
2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp salt (see note)
1 tsp pepper
3-4 cups dry parmesan cheese or 2 ½ cups cheddar powder
¼ cup buttermilk powder
1/3 cup to 1 cup water and 1 cup rice
Rice and Sausage
1 cup minute rice
2oz chorizo sausage (Colameco’s dried uncured)
1 bouillon cube
1tbsp tomato powder
1/2tsp Italian seasoning
Sun dried tomatoes (optional)
8oz water
