I've got a bucket of peridot, a bucket of apache tears, unlimited deposits of quartz ( mostly milky but also rose, clear, smoky, and amethyst), agate, pyrite (almost any wash in the state is loaded with it), amber, garnet, petrified wood, copper ores (turquoise, malachite, chrysocolla), volcanic and meteoric iron and also iron sands, sulfur and lead ores abound (galena and anglesite), also oreohelix land snail shells and some marine fossils. I imagine in a state like Florida, water (rivers, bogs, beaches etc) would be your best hounding areas.
